What information do we collect? How do we use it?

• When you submit an inquiry or make a donation, we may ask for your name, address, and e-mail address so we can respond to your inquiry and/or keep our database of supporters current.

• We also monitor visitor traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of the site, and to help us determine if visitors in general are interested in humanitarian, wildlife, and environmental issues. 

• Concerning our email list:  We may also use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about important functionality changes to the Web site, Baakari.org causes, and special announcements and/or events we think you'll find valuable.  If you would rather not receive this information, you may simply unsubscribe from our email list at any time.  Instructions are included with every email.   Please note: If you have signed up for our email lists from more than one email account, you will need to send a notice from each email address you have signed up from. We will remove from our mailing list each email address we receive notice from.  

What about "cookies"?
"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Our cookies do not contain any personally identifying information.  Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser to prevent that. 

Will Baakari.org disclose the information it collects to outside parties?
Baakari.org does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. Baakari.org may release account information when we believe, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary to (i) comply with law, (ii) enforce or apply the terms of any of our user agreements or (iii) protect the rights, property or safety of Baakari.org, our users, or others.

How does Baakari.org allow customers to update or change the information it collects?
You may update or change your personal information by logging into your email preferences using an email we send you from our Constant Contact account, which is an automated email management system.

If you never want to receive any announcements or special offers from us, simply remove yourself from our email list. You can do this yourself or you can email Remove@baakari.com from the email address you'd like to delete from our database.
