Education and Awareness program.  

Under the Education and Awareness Program, The Baakari Foundation produces public service announcements (PSA's), documentary films, and web content that educates the public.  Topics will include all aspects of domestic animal and wildlife education, awareness and protection.

Presently, we are raising funds for our first documentary film, BEYOND THE BIG TOP, where the Foundation will go undercover to expose the atrocities that befall our beloved exotic animal performers when they are deemed no longer useful.  Our goal... we want everyone to boycott the circus.  This archaic form of entertainment's time has passed.

Endangered Land Acquisition Program.

Under The Baakari Foundation's Endangered Land Acquisition Program, the Foundation will identify lands in various parts of the world where animals are considered at risk, threatened, or endangered and acquire the property to prevent such land from being developed and to preserve natural habitats for wildlife.

Sanctuaries and Rescues. 

Some land acquired through the ELAP will be used for wildlife refuges. In addition, the Foundation will locate and identify a facility to provide a sanctuary for retired or abused exotic or circus animals that the present owners no longer want either due to the animal’s age or the animal’s health issues.  Animals will be provided food, natural habitat shelter, and veterinary care. Due to the wild nature of these animals, they will not be available for adoption.
